Throughout their lifespan, starting at the first menstrual cycle, the body recruits a group of follicles (each with a small immature egg inside) that have the potential to respond to hormones, grow and ovulate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Usually, a woman will ovulate one egg per month, the eggs that do not get selected to ovulate will dissolve and the process repeats itself if a woman is not pregnant that month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, what exactly are AMH levels?Let&#8217;s make it easy to understand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>* AMH stands for ANTI-MULLERIAN HORMONE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>* Generally it evaluates the ovarian reserve in women. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>* AMH is a fertility test done to measure the AMH level in the blood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>* It is also done to assist the reproduction procedures like in Vitro-Fertilization (IVF).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>First, before we talk about what AMH is, I think it is important for women to understand the basics of female fertility.
